Any public post that carries a video. Links copied from the app or the web timeline both work, including posts with several clips attached and posts that quote another post.

Do x.com and twitter.com links both work?

Yes. The two domains point at the same posts, so whichever your share sheet produces is accepted and resolved to the same media file.

Why did my post come back without a video?

Text-only posts, polls, and posts that only carry images have no video stream to return. If the post is a repost of someone else’s clip, use the link to the original post instead.

What quality will the saved MP4 have?

Studio returns the highest-quality variant the post exposes, which is usually the 1280x720 rendition. A lower-quality variant is used only when the higher one is unavailable.

Is the sound included in the file?

Yes. The MP4 keeps the audio track as posted, so speech, music, and ambient sound play exactly as they do on the timeline.

How large will the file be?

Size follows the length and quality of the clip, typically a few megabytes for a short post and considerably more for a multi-minute upload.

Can I download from a protected account?

No. Posts from protected accounts are only visible to approved followers, so the resolver cannot read them, and Studio does not attempt to work around that.

What happens with deleted or suspended posts?

A post that has been deleted, hidden, or removed with its account no longer resolves, so nothing can be retrieved from that address.

Do I need an X account to use this page?

No account is needed here. You only need a link to a post that is already visible to anyone browsing without signing in.

Can I post a saved X video on my own account?

Only when you hold the rights or have permission from the person who posted it. Re-uploading someone else’s clip can lead to a takedown on the platform where you publish it.

Is crediting the original poster enough?

A credit is good practice but it is not a licence. Permission has to come from the rights holder, and some clips contain music or footage licensed to them alone.
